We’re looking for a strategic and inspiring leader to shape the future of engineering at Quanta. As Director, Research and Development, you’ll take the lead on product development for our ground breaking dialysis platform, driving reliability, cost optimisation and feature innovation. You’ll also be responsible for leading and growing a high performing technical team, ensuring delivery of our engineering roadmap in line with business strategy.


Quanta Dialysis Technologies is on a mission to make dialysis accessible to every patient in every setting with its innovative QDS system. With its compact size, intuitive design, and proven performance, QDS is transforming care delivery and clinical outcomes across the dialysis landscape.


As the preferred candidate for the role of Director, Research and Development you’ll have:


  • Proven leadership experience in an R&D role within a medical device or similarly regulated, safety-critical industry.
  • A track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary products involving software, electronics, mechanical systems and fluidics.
  • Strong understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience building, scaling and structuring high-performing engineering teams in a growing business.
  • A degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in dialysis or renal care devices, start-up/scale-up environments, and global regulatory knowledge (e.g. FDA, MDR) would be a bonus.
