Following its launch in 2024, Radio NEXT has allowed us to establish a strong connection with our Next employee listeners. We are now looking to expand the team with an additional Production Assistant.

Based within our Elmsall Distribution complex, the Radio Production Assistant role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the engagement of our employees.

Next is one of the UK’s best known high-street retailers and one of the most established online. Behind the scenes we are at the cutting edge of Warehousing and Logistics, employing more than 9000 people across our distribution centres.

Life at Next is full of variety and challenges but our continued success is dependent on the expertise, passion and adaptability of the teams across our distribution network.

Let’s take it on!

Working in a small team of in-house creatives, as a Radio Production Assistant you will support your colleagues to create entertaining and informative on-air content on our new Radio NEXT in-house radio station.

Reporting to the Radio Producer and working closely with the Radio Presenter, you will provide administrative support for live and pre-recorded radio shows.

The Production Assistant will be handling all the paperwork and digital organization for our radio shows, both live and recorded. This means keeping files tidy, entering information correctly and managing the music library, You'll also be in charge of our Radio NEXT Yapster; posting updates, answering messages, and getting stuff ready for the presenters like news stories and content. Plus, you'll set up our production meetings, create the meeting plans, and take notes during them.

You will stay up to date with best practices, industry trends and company messages to create the seamless production of an energetic and engaging radio show.

Working within our Internal Communications & Design team, the Radio Production Assistant will participate in promotional events to increase employer brand visibility.

About you:

You will be a competent administrative assistant. Familiarity with radio production processes, equipment and industry standards is a bonus, but not essential. Previous experience as a Radio Production Assistant, Broadcast Assistant, Services Administrator or similar is desirable.
