Our team


This role sits within our Recruitment team based in Leeds City Centre. This is a hybrid role, with a current requirements of working 3 days on site in the Leeds office.

Eversheds Sutherland prides itself on being a great place to work our internal recruitment team is dedicated to attracting, selecting and managing top talent through our recruitment process and at the heart of the candidate experience, working closely with hiring managers to understand their requirements and develop tailored recruitment plans.


Role and key responsibilities


  • You will be responsible for managing end to end recruitment processes, being a true business partner to a number of our International Operations functions and a SME for the areas you manage
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Lead vacancy consultation discussions and document recruitment plans which include: role requirements, agreed timeframes, roles and responsibilities of all involved.
  • Work efficiently with hiring managers to understand their teams’ short, medium and long term hiring needs, and team dynamics to form strategic recruitment plans.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the operations of your business areas, sharing updates with the wider recruitment team when appropriate
  • Produce engaging, comprehensive job descriptions and adverts for each role, following stakeholder brief.
  • Accountability for managing the hiring manager experience, ensuring regular hiring updates and high quality, diverse shortlists are presented.
  • Screen relevant candidates in line with specific requirements and provide shortlists to stakeholders within agreed timescales.
  • Track all candidate applications and progress via the firm's Applicant Tracking System, ensuring all information and data is accurately recorded .
  • Support with providing data and reporting for your business area.
  • Ensure a high touch candidate experience through to offer stage via various methods of communication.
  • Support candidates throughout their notice period to ensure a smooth new joiner experience
  • Drive efficient candidate feedback and offer management.
  • Build and maintain local market knowledge and publicly-available information regarding competitor activity.
  • Proactively provide market intelligence to stakeholders and plan accordingly where appropriate
  • Maintain strong working relationships with recruitment agencies, conducting strategic meetings when appropriate
  • Ensure the recruitment process supports and promote the firm’s Inclusive Hiring Plan throughout the hiring cycle


Skills and experience


We are looking for:

  • Previous experience within recruitment preferably in-house
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and demonstrate flexibility and resilience
  • Seeks to provide an outstanding level of client services at all times
  • Strong relationship building skills, both internal and external
  • Influence, negotiate and manage conflicting demands using initiative
  • Strong team ethic; offer to support where necessary
  • Flexible and easily able to adapt to change
