About The Role
This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across all Lines of Business. We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Regional Activation Hub Lead for Prime Video and RMI. This is a Full-time position based in the London hub working with a Poland nearshore team as well as local markets who will plan offline and IO based market display/partnerships.
This role creates an effective link between the Strategy & Planning teams and Activation ensuring that comprehensive briefs are developed by the Implementational planning specialists. You will be responsible for ensuring in platform experts achieve campaign KPI’s and deliver operational excellence. You will also develop and support the delivery of reports and provide insights and recommendations to the client. You will be the Amazon’s London hubs most senior digital lead working with C-level internal WPP stakeholders and C-level Amazon stakeholders
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Manage a team of experts across Social, Programmatic, Implementational planning, pan-regional IO/partnerships ensuring a seamless connection translating plans to activation and achieving excellence in all campaign operations.
- Responsible for the delivery and quality of hubbed Activation services, ad ops and reporting, in adherence to agreed SLAs and assigned workflow management protocols, and for seamless integration and impact within the Campaign Delivery Process (in and across locales).
- Work closely with the Regional Ops, and LOB Leads in Germany and Warsaw on adjusting and scaling delivery in line with LOB evolution for Prime Video and RMI.
- Accountable for the ongoing management of performance across campaign budgets and daily spend levels, bid strategies and constant monitoring of tracking to client goals - implementing course correction decisions when needed.
- Outline advanced data analytics/measurement frameworks to shape holistic measurement of performance media strategy and activation.
- Manage and monitor the holistic (cross-channel) brand safety, viewability, attention scoring & optimise accordingly
Planning
- Oversee all digital planning across all disciplines and locales, supporting planning leads to create integrated single narrative responses to brief which simplify complex digital language.
- Plan against client outcomes – quantifying objectives and the likely impact of comms on them across all biddable practice areas, in collaboration with practice leads
- Build the digital process to translate audiences into actionable targetable groups consistently across platforms
- Challenge in channel planning (Social, Prog, Pan Regional, Audience) team's responses per title to ensure platform excellence
- Manage analytics, data provisioning and dashboarding teams to drive continual improvement and ensure measurement learnings and insights are built into future plans
- Proactively identify opportunities for proprietary solutions to be embedded within always-on campaigns to help drive distinctive and differentiated offerings to clients.
Client Leadership
- Continually raise the bar by bringing best in class activation practices and innovation from across the WPP group to the OpenDoor team
- Inform a transformation agenda and strategic vision for the clients’ entire business, and support the execution of that vision
- Continually advise key stakeholders on industry changes and transformation to support their business challenges.
Team & Commercials
- Ensuring the team are staffed correctly according to commercial agreements and evolving client needs, foster team growth and development within the OpenDoor culture.
- Responsible for ensuring trading deals are fulfilled and partner selection adheres to client and WPP standards
- Support Investment in the execution and value extraction from JBPs
Qualifications
- 15+ experience with the last 10 being strong experience across digital paid media, strategy, retail, or consulting
- Advanced understanding of multiple/at least 2+ digital practice areas, a strong background in biddable media is a must.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multi-market accounts where you’ve delivered measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to craft a compelling, data-driven story that is anchored in the client’s business need.
- Ability to anticipate challenges/opportunities and deliver highly persuasive, strategic & structured communication.
- Confident in forecasting budget during campaign delivery as many times as needed.
- Strong and vocal in strategic communication with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders at varying levels of seniority from C-suite down.
- Solutions-oriented and high levels of organisation.
- An empathetic and thoughtful leader comfortable with working through detailed, written communications.
