About the team:
The Regional Data Owner Role sits within the Enterprise Data Management Team under the Process organisation within Fragomen’s Corporate space. The team is responsible for establishing and executing strategic frameworks to standardise data into reliable and consistent information, improving operational efficiency, accelerating business agility to grow and transform, and allowing better decision-making to achieve the firm's business goals.
About the role:
Fragomen is seeking a Regional Data Owner to be based in the UK as part of the Data Management Team. As a Regional Data Owner with Fragomen, you will work to enhance the overall quality and ensure data standardisation for all data within your region.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all data activities related to data you own within your region align with the firm’s global data standards and policies. This includes managing data quality for cases and services supported by your region.
- Establish data standards and monitor regional data gaps through structured assessments and quality reviews.
- Document and catalogue regional data using appropriate tools, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
- Implement risk and compliance measures with the support of data stewards to monitor data usage and escalating any issues or dependencies.
- Work with data governance teams to leverage tools like Informatica CDGC for data discovery and cataloguing.
- Collaborate with data stewards and business process owners to support regional data activities, including data remediation tasks when standards are not met.
- Engage in regional and cross-regional working groups to share insights, align on best practices, and support continuous improvement of initiatives.
- Function as the central point of contact for the onboarding of data stewards in your region to strengthen data management capabilities.
- Lead efforts in collating and managing regional data requests, supporting the development of regional insights and analytics.
- Develop and execute regional data products that align with client needs and business objectives, ensuring data standards are reviewed and adhered to regularly.
- Support AI/ML and automation initiatives by providing regional use cases and collaborating with product teams to enhance data capabilities.
About you:
- A deep understanding of how data is used across business processes and analytics.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders to drive decision making on data activities.
- Ability to grow and lead a team to enhance the data maturity within the region.
- A general interest in learning how to use data platforms and tools such as Informatica; any prior experience will be highly valuable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business, technology, and data teams with a client service mindset.
- Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage data-related risks and escalations efficiently
Fragomen in the UK:
Our UK team is made up of over 700 people working across two offices, based in London and Sheffield. Both offices are centrally located in their respective cities, with the Sheffield office having the added bonus of free on-site parking.
