Top ranked in Chambers UK and Legal 500; our Regulatory team are recognised as one of the best in the UK with a broad spectrum of knowledge and expertise. In this role, you will independently manage a litigation caseload, supporting the Regulatory team in delivering high-quality services to professional discipline clients; and in particular the Education Workforce Council (EWC), the Architects Registration Board (ARB), the General Dental Council (GDC), the General Optical Council (GOC), the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).

You will be responsible for the strategic direction of cases from the outset, including reviewing instructions, analysing key issues and evidentiary needs, and drafting allegations. The role involves direct engagement with witnesses - taking and preparing statements - as well as liaising with clients, registrants’ representatives, and expert witnesses. You will prepare legal documents, instruct Counsel, and oversee the work of Case Support and Senior Paralegals, ensuring all casework aligns with Service Level Agreements and is accurately recorded in case management systems.

We welcome applications from solicitors who undertaken investigation prosecution work for regulatory bodies, including those who have worked in private practice or in-house for regulators.
