Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially an 8-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.


As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports for compliance with applicable financial regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, financial data analysis, and the ability to interpret complex regulatory changes to ensure the organisation’s reports meet all regulatory standards. You will work closely with internal departments such as finance, risk, legal, and compliance, to provide accurate, timely, and compliant reports.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-9C, CCAR, Dodd-Frank Act, MiFID II, etc.) to relevant authorities
  • Analyse financial data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness in regulatory filings
  • Identify discrepancies or issues within data and provide solutions
  • Monitor and interpret changes in regulations and ensure the organisation adheres to them in all regulatory reporting
  • Lead efforts to streamline and automate the regulatory reporting processes, improving efficiency and reducing errors
  • Work closely with finance, risk, and compliance teams to ensure all data and processes align with internal policies and external regulations
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports to auditors as required
  • Provide training and guidance to junior analysts or team members on regulatory reporting processes and industry best practices
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and clarifications when necessary
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation, and reporting tools for regulatory reporting activities


Requirements

  • At least 7 years’ experience in Regulatory Reporting
  • Strong expertise in EMIR, MAS, and ASIC regulations
  • Familiarity with MiFID and SFTR regulations
  • Experience in buy-side or asset management environments
  • In-depth knowledge of derivative products
  • Proven experience in managing change, with a preference for candidates who have worked on recent refits
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess business processes and propose solutions
  • Experience in designing and implementing testing strategies
  • Ability to investigate and resolve issues related to regulatory compliance and reporting
  • Understanding of reconciliation processes and control frameworks
  • Experience in creating and distributing MI reports
