In the wider Regulatory team, we advise and support regulated businesses and regulated professionals in all aspects of their dealings with UK regulators across the financial services, accountancy, health & safety, healthcare and legal sectors.

Positioned as ‘the law firm for law firms’ our Legal Services Regulatory team, headed by Iain Miller, has gone from strength to strength over the years; developing/ retaining and recruiting some of the best, from private practice and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in the ever-changing & evolving world of regulatory professional discipline. Our team work on behalf of leading law firms; from both an advisory and investigation/ disciplinary standpoint, and are the forefront of developing new, innovative services to our clients.

We are looking for a Senior Associate (7+ years’ PQE) to work closely with the team; in particular with the three partners, Iain Miller, Julie Norris and Jessica Clay, advising law firms and solicitors on various regulatory matters, with a focus on SRA investigations and Solicitor Disciplinary Tribunal proceedings.

The successful candidate will see an enormously varied and interesting mix of cases (in a supportive and collegiate team!) and we are looking for someone who is motivated, ambitious and keen to help build out and develop this work within Regulatory; raising their own profile and that of the department.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience within Regulatory/ professional discipline
  • Experience advising law firms and solicitors and someone with an extensive understanding of SRA processes is preferred, although we would look beyond this if an enthusiasm to learn & transferable skills are demonstrated (for instance those working in-house who are looking to broaden their remit)
  • A very capable, inquisitive and ambitious person looking to complement a growing team
  • An ability to get up to speed quickly on matters and to shift focus/ direction with competing demands and deadlines
  • A keen interest to broaden their own knowledge and understanding; proactively identifying potential opportunities and attending relevant networking events
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and drafting skills
  • Honesty, integrity and professionalism

Why KN?
