I am working with a global London market insurer where they are looking for a Reporting Accountant to join their team to grow and develop their existing regulatory reporting processes both for their syndicate and group. This is an excellent role which has a combination of financial and operational reporting, you will business partner with internal teams to improve processes, efficiency and finance data quality.

Responsibilities

• Review existing syndicate reporting processes and identify areas of improvement.
• Embed process efficiencies to streamline and automate reporting where possible.
• Assist with the production of Syndicate reporting to Lloyd’s, including:
• Regulatory reporting including QMB for their syndicate, Solvency II, USGAAP, UKGAAP.
• Annual and underwriting year financial statements.
• Produce analytics and commentary to support with queries on, or related to, syndicate reporting.
• Ensure reports are produced and updated to the relevant timetables, allowing appropriate time for management review.
• Develop diagnostics and continuously interact with underwriters and actuaries to develop an understanding of the figures.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure that all the information required is produced and the audits are completed on time.

Personal Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CAANZ, CPA, ICAI, ICAS).
• Working knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and reporting rules, UK GAAP, Solvency II.
• Prior experience working for a specialty insurer.
• Ability to identify and embed improvements to gain efficiencies across reporting.
