We’re looking for a Reporting Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team in Peterborough.
As a Reporting Accounting Assistant you’ll be working closely with the Reporting Accounting Manager to ensure that the budgets, forecasts and monitoring of actuals against targets for all aspects of the Bauer Finance Hub are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Our Team:
Our team is part of the Bauer Finance Hub, who provide expert in-house accounting services to the Bauer UK Group of Companies. The Team ensures that our Financial Accounting meets both external Financial Accounting obligations and the requirements of our Group Head Office in Hamburg. We also manage the budgets and management reporting of our Bauer Finance Hub on a timely and accurate basis.
This is a Hybrid role that supports a balance of working from home and our office in Peterborough.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the Reporting Accounting Manager and Financial Accounting Manager.
- Assist with all management accountings aspects of the Bauer Finance Hub Finance cost centres.
- Assist with responsibility for management accounting and administration.
- Review balance sheet accounts within HBVB entity.
- Assist with work for recharges to our Group companies.
- Prepare analysis of spend within HBVB for tax reporting.
- Complete various ONS reports relating to HBVB.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations for other entities
What you’ll bring:
- Previous Accounting experience.
- Working towards an accounting qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA.
- Strong Excel skills and significant experience of using it.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of management accounting would be an advantage.
