The Research and Development Department at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital , Grimsby is looking for a Research Nurse to work within the research team. The Research Nurse will be supporting Oncology and Generic research trials.
Applicants should be 1st level registered nurse, registered to the NMC and have a significant acute nursing experience .
The Post holder will take responsibility , under supervision , for the set up , management , coordination and facilitation of a caseload of concurrent non-commercial and commercial research trials. In addition to clinical and patient related care , the role includes document generation and control, project tracking and logistics, data collection, patient recruitment accrual reporting.
The post holder will have continuing responsibility for assessment of patient care needs of research and trial participants and for providing them with high quality care that is timely and protocol driven . The post holder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to participants on all aspects of their involvement in trials, including identification , advising and proper reporting of adverse events. The post- holder will contribute to the development of a specialty service to trial participants and ensure the cost effective use of resources.
