The SRA's research is interesting and varied, covering a broad range of topics in the legal services market. Some of our current projects include looking at the issues that consumers face when using legal service providers, the impact of policy changes and improving our understanding of technology and innovation in legal services.
Working with colleagues across the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders such as academics, research agencies and consultants, you will provide technical advice on and support the delivery of high-quality research projects and reports. You might also support monitoring and reporting on risks and issues in the market.
Having captured project requirements and based on your extensive research experience, you will be designing the best approach to meet evidence needs. This could be advising on sampling, preparing questionnaires and discussion guides and undertaking fieldwork for internal work or commissioning external suppliers. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the smooth day-to-day running of research projects whether delivered in-house or commissioned externally. Using your excellent communication skills, you will present complex research findings in an accessible way to non-technical audiences and be confident liaising with a range of individuals at all levels of seniority.
Joining our small team of researchers, data scientists and risk analysts, you will work collaboratively and receive excellent support. The team have varied backgrounds ranging from sociology, social research, economics, chemistry, law and engineering.

This role can be based in our Birmingham, Cardiff or London office. We operate on a hybrid working model which means working one to two days a week in the office, and rest of the week from home. The starting salary for this role is £43,159. For those eligible, an additional 10% London weighting will apply.
