Overview
London Borough of Harrow has an exciting new opportunity for a Resettlement Manager to join the Corporate Strategy division with the Resources directorate. The successful candidate will oversee the service's day-to-day operations, set the strategy, and deliver plans and activities to support families arriving and integrating into Harrow under the Afghan Citizens' Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) and the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
The successful candidate will work with a range of external partners including teams dealing with refugee resettlement at the Home Office, Greater London Assembly (GLA), DLUHC and relevant local voluntary and community sector partners at senior level. Internally, the post holder will work closely with a range of cross-council stakeholders, including Housing, Health, Economic Development, and Education.
This is a secondment/fixed term contract opportunity for one year.

About You
The successful candidate will:
- Work with staff in the Resettlement team to support them and develop their skills.
- Collaborate with all directorates to implement the successful delivery of all programmes
- Work collaboratively with VCS to build capacity and resilience in the collective effort to support families arriving and integrating into Harrow.
- Have experience in adapting to new challenges with a positive and resilient approach
- Manage a team through dynamic and high-pressure situations
- Have detailed knowledge of local government processes
