Your Role
EF London is looking for a responsible and energetic individual to join our Residence Team as a Residence Coordinator. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and fun living environment for our international students while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This role provides a great opportunity for you to build your organisational and leadership skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. This is a live in position where accommodation is provided at no extra cost. Day shifts, hours may vary and weekend availability required.
Responsibilities
- Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee comfort, safety, and conduct of students
- To support the Residence Manager in running an efficient department
- To ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is delivered to students
- To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
- Deputize for Residence Manager when needed
- To assist with Weekend reception duties overseeing arrivals and departures from residence accommodation
- To prepare arrival & departure documents for residential assistants on duty at weekend
- To ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking, and updating posters and signs when appropriate
- To assist with curfew and ensuring under 18 students are in their rooms by assigned time
- To send weekly ledgers to suppliers as well as liaise with suppliers when necessary
- To assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
- To ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
- To promote the best image of the school in the local community through contact with local suppliers, contractors, and others
- To follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety
- To ensure communication between day and night staff during the Weekend is effective and followed up
- To support security team when required
- To assist with emergency phones when required ensuring teamwork
- To attend regular staff meetings and adhere to the Residence Code of Conduct
- Report issues or concerns promptly to the Residence Manager
- To maintain EF policies, regulations, and criteria of accrediting bodies
Requirements
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently with common sense
- Approachable, confident, and friendly personality

- Strong communication skills
- Flexible approach and comfortable working in a busy environment
- Killer instinct, Pro-active and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm under pressure
- Ability to make independent decisions but consult when appropriate
- Sensitive approach to welfare issues
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
