Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
Job Purpose
Our Colleague Strategy is focused on making TfL a great place to work for everyone and the Reward Strategy that underpins this is focused on transforming our Reward to make it fair, transparent and attractive for all whilst keeping it affordable.
We are developing and implementing significant changes in Reward at TfL. This includes reinvigorating our benefits and recognition offerings. Starting with a strong foundation of benchmarking and actively listening to our people’s needs whilst maintaining our overall focus on affordability. We are also reviewing our pay management in our journey towards pay transparency and rethinking our approach to our performance pay schemes.
Needing to deliver change whilst continuing to meet the flexibility required and the high standards demanded in delivering our day-to-day delivery means that we are now looking to strengthen our team Analyst, Specialist and Senior Reward Manager). This will help us achieve our aspirations for Reward and to truly deliver a compelling proposition for all our colleagues.
In this role you will working collaboratively with our Reward Specialist and Senior Reward Manager in delivering and developing our busy benefits and recognition agenda. You will have experience of working in a Reward environment and able to demonstrate a strong depth of knowledge around benefits and recognition. You will have intermediate to advanced excel skills, experience of benefits benchmarking as well as managing and communicating benefits and recognition in a large complex organisation and managing and analysing large quantities of data and clearly communicating your findings.
This role will primarily support our ongoing benefits and recognition management as well as benchmarking. data analysis and research, presenting findings from these activities in a clear and meaningful way. You will also be supporting the delivery of projects and communications across TfL.
Key Accountabilities
- Management and manipulation of large data sets (normally in MS Excel) in support of benefits and recognition activities.
- Benchmark, research and investigate through surveys and participation in external Reward forums, analysing and evaluating internal and external information to support the improvement of market benchmarking.
- Management and manipulation of large data sets (normally in MS Excel) in support of benefits and recognition activities. Knowledge of PowerBi would also be helpful.
- Design, develop, implement and maintain a reward dashboards that provide current, clear and concise information relating to all aspects of Reward within TfL.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of key benefits and recognition processes, including cycle to work salary sacrifice, private medical benefit and the soon to be launched electric vehicle salary sacrifice Scheme.
- Support in the continuous development and maintenance of SharePoint Reward Hub to ensure clear access for employees across TfL to products.
- Support in the management and relationships with 3rd party suppliers including contractual, commercial and procurement activities as well as supplier invoicing, purchase order management and accruals.

- Your proven intermediate / advanced excel skills for modelling, data management, advanced formulas, pivot tables as well as being highly analytical and numerate with experience of analysing and interpreting data and clearly communicating findings
- Experience of benefits benchmarking and results analysis and presenting findings from these activities in a clear and meaningful way
- Your successful stakeholder and relationship management skills within a complex organisation.
- Your knowledge of interrogating data, processes and issues to understand problems and provide appropriate solutions or recommendations to the business.
- Your demonstration of previous success of supporting the delivery and communication of benefits and recognition solutions aligned to business and people strategies within a large, complex organisation.
- Your understanding of employee benefits including voluntary schemes, tax efficient salary sacrifice and benefit in kind arrangements is invaluable.
- Through your own networks and resources, you keep yourself updated on developments in Reward and are keen to apply this to help shape our future.
- Beyond your proven Reward expertise, your desire and ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues in Reward as well as more widely across our People function is a pre-requisite for success. You will enjoy working together as a team of experts and sharing knowledge as well as being organised with experience of managing a varied workload to tight timescales.
