Risk Analyst - 9 month FTC

The main objective of the Operational Risk Team is to support the objectives of SEFE Energy through proactive identification, reporting, analysis and control of operational risks across the business.

The jobholder will be expected to continually liaise with stakeholders across commercial and operations; ensuring that key analysis and information is available and appropriately coordinated throughout the business.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent thought, clear analysis and opinion, supported by understanding of key operational processes. The candidate will proactively manage controls analysis and focus on pragmatic rectification, prioritizing of risk and applying appropriate resolution actions.

This role offers a broad remit, covering commercial and operational activities across multiple products, requiring the candidate to be comfortable in building collaborative relationships with the business. The role presents an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the energy sales business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operation of key daily and weekly operational risk controls and monitoring processes.
• Support the incident management programme through timely response to incidents, drafting details of incidents, accurate follow up and investigation, and administration of the incident management system.
• Support in producing operational risk content and materials for monthly and ad-hoc management reporting.
• Support administration activities of the SEFE Energy Business Continuity Programme
• Clear presentation of relevant topics, either via writen material or verbal explanations, to Risk and other stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Experience in building a network of contacts across the Risk department and other internal stakeholders to aid future career development
• Providing experience in independent analysis on risk and control aspects of incidents to provide appropriate recommendations, capture all action details, track statuses and record resolutions.
• Managed personal and professional development, this includes both technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional skills and competencies.
