Risk Analyst

Overview:

A dynamic Financial Services organisation is seeking a Risk Management professional to join their team and support the implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework. This role will involve collaborating across departments to promote risk awareness, ensure compliance, and embed robust risk management practices within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide second-line risk management oversight and support, ensuring adherence to the company's Risk Management Framework.
• Maintain and update records of risks, controls, and actions within the company’s risk management system, ensuring they align with business practices.
• Facilitate and conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, helping to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
• Assist senior risk management leaders with data collection and report preparation for governance committees.
• Analyse risk data and generate business-focused risk reports and metrics to enhance awareness and performance tracking against risk objectives.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Risk Management Framework and supporting documentation.
• Take on ad-hoc projects and duties as needed to support business objectives and departmental goals.

Essential Skills:

• Experience within a Risk Analyst position preferably within Financial Services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Required Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the 'Three Lines of Defence' model in financial services.
• Knowledge of Risk & Control Frameworks in financial services.
