Risk Operations Manager

We are seeking a Risk Operations Manager to join our Risk Operation steam in Belfast on a 9 month fixed-term contract.

The Risk Operations team play a pivotal role in managing and analysing risks across our global network. As part of the wider Risk function, the team supports with risk analysis and reporting, ensuring the effective management of risks across the firm.

This role will support the Risk Operations Senior Manager in delivering insightful reports and driving key change initiatives. Strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and strong relationship building skills will be critical to your success in this role. What you will do

The main responsibilities of this role will involve:

Risk Management:

• Maintain and enhance risk registers in line with the Risk Registers Framework.
• Analyse and evaluate risk data to produce actionable insights.
• Support the development of action plans to improve risk landscapes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and the Risk Committee.

Project Management:

• Lead key change initiatives within the Risk Function.
• Produce project documentation to define scope, impact, and benefits of proposed changes.
• Engage with subject matter experts and progress actions to completion.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, key stakeholders, clients, and third parties.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration to facilitate quality business requirements.

Training and Development:

• Create and maintain training content and documentation.
• Conduct training/awareness sessions to support risk management processes.

Process Improvement:

• Analyse business processes and recommend improvements.
• Document key processes using tools like Blueworks.

What you will have

• Outstanding analytical skills with knowledge of risk management methods and tools.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to present to various audiences.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proven project management skills, including planning, communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage and escalate issues appropriately.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance conflicting needs and priorities.
