What to Expect

You’ll join Raylo’s growing Risk Operations team, reporting to the Senior Risk Operations Manager. The team plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our leasing platform by ensuring compliance and mitigating fraud risks. As a Risk Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for processing customer and business application referrals, executing fraud investigations, and helping us build a robust and efficient onboarding journey.


In the short term, you’ll take ownership of KYC workflows, contribute to refining fraud detection strategies, and build collaborative relationships across departments. Longer term, you’ll influence the optimisation of our risk processes and play a critical part in delivering a seamless, secure customer experience that supports Raylo’s mission of sustainable growth.


What You’ll Do

  • Handle and resolve escalated KYC and application referrals for both consumers and business customers.
  • Execute fraud investigations and escalate risk cases in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding and verification workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Risk Strategy, Operations, and Compliance teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA compliance and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Help identify inefficiencies and contribute to automation projects and process innovation.
  • Participate in data reviews and reporting using tools such as Looker, Google Sheets, or Excel.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to support junior team members and uphold team standards.


You’ll Succeed With

  • 3–5 years’ experience in KYC verification, fraud prevention, or credit underwriting within an FCA-regulated consumer finance business.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in line management, coaching, or mentoring team members within an operations or risk environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of AML, CDD, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in using fraud detection/KYC tools and platforms.
  • High attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to spot anomalies and trends.
  • Experience working with Excel/Google Sheets and data tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork, with a passion for continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and work independently.
