We have a brand-new role for a Road Safety Action Plan Coordinator to coordinate and facilitate the Combined Authority’s commitments within the Regional Road Safety Action Plan 2024-2030. We are continuing to see a concerning rise in the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads and we have a new action plan to deliver road safety interventions to reduce the number of casualties.
In collaboration with local authorities, the police, the Police and Crime Commissioner, relevant charities, and internal stakeholders, you will lead the evidence-based delivery of all action points. You will also be responsible for demonstrating the measurable success—or areas for improvement—of each action in progressing towards our casualty reduction targets.
This is a front-facing and strategic role, responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of 23 multi-disciplinary road safety actions across all local authority areas. You will work closely with partners and champion innovative approaches where evidence shows clear societal benefits for the region
Please note, this is a 1-year fixed term contract which can also be offered as an external secondment.
