Job Purpose
The role of the ROV Senior Engineer is to provide operational and technical engineering support within the ROV department, including areas such as project support, tooling, maintenance periods, dry dockings, systems engineering and research and development.
Job Description
Generally responsible for providing Engineering, ROV and remote intervention support within the ROV department
Preparation and checking of project procedures and technical reports related to remote intervention activity
Develop quality, cost effective remote intervention solutions and provide intervention support from concept to completion Provide tendering support
Responsible for ensuring that adequate, checked calculations are prepared and in place for ROV equipment prior to mobilisation offshore
Develop standard lay-outs and calculations for ROV installations
Ensure that the ROV systems are fully operational, ready when needed and within specification for project requirements
Coordinate and manage ROV mobilisations
Coordinate and manage (including on/off hires) provision of rental tooling from our internal pool
Monitor and report system performance
Ensure effective control of planned and preventative maintenance
Ensure system inventories are fully maintained
Ensure adherence to ROV Operations Manual
Source, audit and supply additional 3rd party equipment when required
Contribute to and develop ‘Best Practice’ remote intervention procedures
Daily support to project and ROV teams both onshore and offshore and assist with planning the efficient and cost effective execution of the offshore workscope
Attendance at SIT’s, FAT’s, HAZID’s and operational reviews as required
You Are Meant For This Job If
Appropriate Engineering qualification at degree level
A vast amount of experience in a similar role
Offshore survival and medical certificates
Good knowledge of the current Health and Safety regulations
Good knowledge of ROV systems and tooling
