Purpose of the position: As ROV Support Engineer you will be part of the ROIS Business Line within the ROV. You will provide technical and operational support for our ROV systems to ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem’s policy.
Responsibilities
- Carry out support activities related to loading out of ROV systems, checking and preparing workshop spares, preparing inventories, carrying out system pre-mob checks
- Co-ordinate re-certification activities for the ROV systems and spare parts shipments to ROV systems offshore
- Process received offshore MRs and assist with expediting as required, including clarification on part queries
- Monitor receipt of ROV maintenance and technical reports, and review/action any issues identified
- Ensure all ROV critical spares checks are conducted and that shortfalls are actioned in a timely manner
- Process and follow up actions related to Damage/Malfunction/Failure (DMF) reports that are received from the ROV systems
What are we looking for?
Education: Engineering degree or relevant HND/HNC
Experience: 5-9 years in ROV related activities such as Mechanical/Hydraulic workshop, onshore technical ROV role, offshore pilot technician or supervisor
Technical skills: ROV systems knowledge, ROV asset, mechanical or hydraulic equipment refurbishments is a plus
