Sales and Office Administrator on a f
ull time, permanent basis, based out of their
Thetford site.
Salix is a respected and leading provider of sustainable solutions to river restoration and erosion control projects in the UK. We provide spillway and shoreline protection and inland dredging and wetland habitat creation schemes. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Administrator to join our product sales department at our nursery in Thetford.
We are looking for an organised, positive individual with a can do attitude to join our small friendly team. The role will be office based and will involve quoting and managing customer orders as well as providing administrative support to the nursery and production managers.
Wildlife conservation is at the heart of our brand so we are looking for someone who shares these values, and who can help promote our wonderful products.
Responsibilities:
- Fielding customer enquiries by telephone and email
- Following up on leads
- Managing customer orders and finalising delivery schedules
- Preparing and printing paperwork for shipments
- Booking haulage and transport using various online systems
- Liaising with staff, clients, and freight companies to organise deliveries
Skills / Experience:
- Previous sales and/or customer service experience
- Be detail conscious, organised, and attentive
- Excellent communication skills on the phone and in writing
- Microsoft literate including Excel and Teams. Experience of using an ERP or CRM database desirable (knowledge of Microsoft Business Central a bonus)
- SHEQ experience desirable but not essential as training can be given
Salary / Benefits:
- Salary - £25,000 - £27,000 pa depending on experience, plus sales bonuses

We are Europe’s largest producer of coir fibre rolls, and we produce the world’s highest performing range of reinforced turf.
Salix fields its own plant and experienced installation teams, supported by strong in-house technical support. Its aim when approaching projects is to complement the natural environment, add to biodiversity and improve water quality.
