Description

Our Sales Team

The purpose of the Sales Team is to drive growth with our accounting practice partners, both through signing and onboarding new practices and expanding the use of FreeAgent within our existing partners. We have teams that support the following three areas of our customer lifecycle; prospecting, onboarding and expansion. The SDR role primarily focuses on onboarding our practice partners.

The role

We're on the hunt for an experienced telephone based sales professional to join our Regional Sales Team within the FreeAgent Accountancy Practice Division. This role is focusing on the effective management of a pipeline of early-stage FreeAgent partners, building engagement and guiding them through the on-boarding journey.

Day to day, here's what you can expect:


  • You'll be working with existing FreeAgent partners - identifying opportunities and guiding partners through the first steps of the partner on-boarding journey
  • You'll be the expert - responding to product related queries, interacting with partners to provide information and give insight into the host of benefits which FreeAgent offers
  • You'll be an ambassador for the FreeAgent product - you'll confidently and professionally present the FreeAgent software throughout the sales process, keep up with any product updates and represent FreeAgent at events, exhibitions etc. as required
  • You'll be keeping track - you'll be on top of maintaining appropriate records within the FreeAgent systems, managing the status, records and forecasting for prospective clients
  • You'll be in the driving seat! You'll be efficiently managing your diary, planning meetings in person and virtually and reporting back on progress in a structured and timely manner. There may be occasional travel required.

Ideally you'll:


  • be a passionate sales professional with demonstrated experience in a sales or business development role, ideally selling into professional services organisations
  • demonstrate a proven record of achieving targets along with a self-reliant and self-motivated attitude
  • have an appreciation of the challenges facing SME clients of accountancy practices and the application of technology within business
  • have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an eagerness to learn and develop professionally and personally
  • have enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, with a high level of competence in office based technology
  • demonstrate the drive to succeed in a sales and merit-based environment

Work pattern for this role

This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)

This role will be based in our Edinburgh office, however there will be an opportunity to adopt hybrid working, under an agreed pattern of 2 days from the office and 3 days at home each week. Working from home is second nature to us as we have been championing remote working for 16 years.

Annual starting salary of £25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience, with room to progress to £28,000 within the band.

We also offer a competitive uncapped commission package.
