Description
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in product development or sales engineering, particularly with expertise in software. Proficiency in C is essential, while experience with C++ and Python is highly desirable. Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is also advantageous. This role involves leveraging technical skills to lead pre-sales activities, provide technical support, and develop tailored solutions that drive ITCG’s sales performance. Additionally, the position includes gathering market intelligence and tracking technology trends to inform strategic marketing efforts.

Salary between £56,335 and £67,066 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

What we ask

Technical support and creating solution Lead Technical & Engineering support and provide customers with the best solutions using mainly software technology (C language required).

Presales activities Take the lead in pre-sales activities for imaging products, focusing on customer development primarily within the professional and B2B sectors across the EMEA region.

New product launching Provide technical support for product launches, including assisting with the creation of marketing assets, conducting internal training sessions, and testing new products.

Collecting market information and feedback Collect market information and technical trend in EMEA region. Summarise customers’ requirements and give feedback to Canon HQ.

New product development Contribute to new product development initiatives led by Canon Europe, involving both internal hardware and software development, as well as collaboration with external partners.

Integration activities with 3rd party Proceed integration with 3rd party products to meet the customer’s demands and expand the product ecosystem.

Exhibition support Provide technical support for exhibitions, including planning exhibition content, designing technical configurations, and assisting on-site sales activities.

Based at Stockley Park, with up to 30% travel—typically one to two national or international trips per month.

You will need

  • Strong knowledge and skills in software development, with proficiency in C as a requirement; experience with C++ and Python is highly desirable.
  • Background in product development or sales engineering, ideally within the imaging industry.
  • Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently acquire and apply technical, marketing, and sales knowledge to support analysis and problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working in culturally diverse markets and adapting to varying customer needs.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a logical and investigative approach.
