About The Role
We are looking for an experiences Sales Layout Engineer to join our Projects team.
The primary function of this position is to design TNA equipment layouts for the Sales and Project management teams. The Sales Layout Engineer is an in-house role (occasionally customer facing), providing design support to meet sales and customer requirements. The role requires good understanding of customer operational requirements along with customer satisfaction so that good layouts are achieved. The role requires in-depth product and application knowledge to support our TNA colleagues and customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Generate Sales layouts with accurate BOM’s for sales managers to quote against and for use in sales presentations. Ensure all equipment is calculated to correct sizes and finishes. The layout should function as per the customers’ requirements, whilst also ensuring designs are configured to TNA’s engineering standards to achieve effective design solutions within set timeframes.
- Follow and manage a system for the storage of layouts generated personally and by Project managers to ensure all drawings requests are logged and completed in a central database.
- Work with standard engineering blocks to generate layouts to promote maximum use of standard products.
- On occasions carry out site surveys at customer sites. Be able to transfer the information gathered into an Auto Cad layout.
- Liaise with other members of staff, mainly sales and projects to ensure layout requirements are met.
- Provide layout advice and support to sales team and customers.
Qualification and Experience:
- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience/apprenticeship
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- AutoCad 2D and inventor 3D drawing experience to a high standard
- High attention to detail
- Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and beverage or packaging) is advantageous
- Ability to effectively present information and work well with other departments.
