Sales Manager – Application & Data Security
Remote – UK
As Sales Manager, will be responsible for all sales and business development activities for Enterprise Accounts within the UK&I Territory, with a strong emphasis on long-term business development and sales performance. The Sales Manager will have a leadership role, leading a team of eight RSMs, responsible for planning and managing all Thales sales related activity focused on the Data Security and Application Security products and solutions. You will build and develop new key business relationships, overseeing the management of all aspects of the sales process with the end customer, focusing on new business opportunities and developing existing business contacts. The team work in close collaboration with channel partners to deliver sales and business objectives.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager, who has significant experience managing ‘hunting’ teams responsible for new business development. We are looking for the successful individual to have an understanding of technical sales, ideally within data security or encryption, key management and application security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of a team of RSMs in order to maximize high-value sales opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Develop a high profile presence within the targeted accounts and be seen as a trusted advisor
- Drive achievement of the Team’s sales objectives including sales volume, channel development and management, new business development and management of existing revenue streams.
- Accurately forecast on behalf of team all annual, quarterly, and monthly business opportunities.
- Ensure that the team’s sales goals and forecasts are consistent with the organization’s long-range strategic objectives.
- Oversee Collaboration with marketing, product management and other related parties to develop local pricing strategies, sales campaigns and any other tools required to be successful in territory.
- Mobilise and motivate other internal resources available (pre-sales, product management, sales development, sales management) to support the team in closing business opportunities
- Ability to message, and sell to, C-Suite individuals at some of Thales’ most important Enterprise customers. Reviewing regional expenses and keeping within budget.
- Establish and develop key relationships with Systems Integrators / channel partner sales teams to ensure the effective and efficient closing of sales opportunities.
- Take the lead in selected incremental sales opportunities, sharing best practises and leading by example.
Skills And Experience Required
Significant years of experience in sales, quota driven role selling cyber security, data networking and / or security architecture products. Including team management of new business development and managing experienced and new-starter team members,
- Demonstrable experience of leading, mentoring, tutoring and supporting Sales Team members
- Experience selling Data and Application Security products and / or familiarity selling encryption, key management and application security solutions would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience selling subscription, cloud-based and “as a Service” security products.
- Demonstrable Track Record of experience managing large Enterprise End User Accounts
- Ability to manage time effectively in order to optimize productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; active listening.
- Proven ability in Storytelling and excellent presentation skills.
- Experience working with Salesforce.com.
