ERP Systems Manager (SAP Business One)

£70,000 - £85,000 per annum

London (3x per week)

SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of our SAP Business One client to source an ERP Systems Manager to become responsible for managing all SAP B1 functionality across the group. This Systems Manager will provide technical expertise, guidance, and operational support for the business across IT related technologies, particularly focused on their SAP B1 ERP. The successful candidate will have a strong background in SAP Business One and systems architecture, with experience working in the manufacturing industry.

Role Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert on SAP Business One and the supporting add-ons, including Boyum Usability Pack and Codeless BPA.
• Provide technical expertise and input into deployments, functional analysis, capacity management, and systems design.
• Become responsible for managing the SAP Business One ERP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems - focused on CRM and Sales Functionality in Dynamics.
• Manage the external 3rd party support partner.
• Possess responsibility for all ERP environments – operations, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, and change management
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, identifying requirements and translating these into task and project deliverables
• Provide monthly KPI metrics on system operations
• Forward planning and strategic design of ERP platforms and functionality aligned to business strategy and direction
• Design, manage, and maintain integrations with external systems and devices (ie barcode scanning)
• Continuous service improvement – system upgrades and updates, evolving the infrastructure and systems environments
• Write customised programs and scripts, as well as systems configuration
• Build and maintain systems and process documentation
• Support the migration of legacy data extracts to data analytics and business intelligence platforms for business and industrial processes
• Build master data from scratch for new SAP B1 entities and set-ups.
• Manage systems performance, working with the support partner to perform diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimise performance.
• Providing technical support and training to ERP end users
• Liaise with the business and provide support for audits and regulatory requirements
• Keeping up to date with the latest ERP patches, maintenance programmes and upgrades.

Role Requirements

• Degree in related field (Information Technology, Computer Science or similar)
• A SAP Certification would be beneficial
• At least 4 years of experience as an SAP B1 ERP Specialist
• At least 6 years of experience support and managing an ERP platform
• Manufacturing industry experience
• API data integration and development experience
• Experience with SAP version upgrades and migrations.
• Experience of CSI, ITIL, change, service, patch and incident management
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL server
• In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes
• In-depth knowledge of SAP add-on tools such as Boyum B1UP and BPA
• Practical experience of data warehousing, data architecture, data management, and business intelligence
• Experience of systems upgrades and cloud migrations
• Experience of developing and utilising Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies
• Data analytics and insights platform integration - dynamics reporting and dashboards
• Dutch language skills are desirable
• Strong ability to design, manage and maintain system functional operations, projects and workstreams covering differing business elements
• Strong analytical and solution design capability and a strong understanding of systems architecture and cyber security
• Ability to come into the offices 3x per week
• Willingness to travel to international offices where required
