Acorn Aluminium Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors to the commercial sector. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation in the fenestration industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Saw Operator to join our dynamic team.

Position:

The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating our brand new Elumatec DG104 double mitre saw to cut materials accurately and efficiently according to production specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in saw operation, preferably within the fenestration industry, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Elumatec DG104 Double Mitre Saw: Set up, adjust, and operate the saw to cut materials to specified dimensions and angles.
• Material Handling: Load and unload materials onto the saw, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the saw to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials cut, including dimensions, quantities, and any discrepancies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating saws, with specific experience on the Elumatec DG104 double mitre saw preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience within the fenestration industry is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cutting materials.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  
  

Other information:

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am -4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm

Salary: £13 per hour
