We have twice ranked in the country’s top comprehensive schools group and the trust is recognised nationally for its curriculum development work. We have one of the country's first maths and science specialist sixth forms and the Angles Maths Hub is based in our trust. This role is key to the long term vision for mathematics in the trust. The strong and cohesive central maths team is looking to expand to provide greater support to our schools and beyond through outreach work.
The successful candidate will be integral to our maths strategy, as part of the wider maths team and will take a leading role in Angles Maths Hub as Secondary Assistant Maths Hub Lead. They will lead a strong team of Mastery Specialists to support schools throughout the Norfolk and Suffolk region and will play an active role in school improvement. They will have a strong strategic vision for the Hub and will work closely alongside other Assistant Maths Hub Leads to develop a comprehensive Maths CPD programme for the region.
A substantial part of the role will include working as a standards lead within one of our Trust secondary schools. The successful candidate will understand that high impact teaching is informed by effective curriculum design. We are seeking a secondary trained leader who can not only deliver this in their own classroom, but who can lead on this across the Trust - reviewing curriculum implementation, designing and delivering CPD alongside developing curriculum resources. In addition there will be the opportunity to lead SCITT trainees and develop young people though our sixth form mentoring programme.
The variety of opportunities on offer make this a very exciting role for someone who wants to make a difference to maths education in Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond.
