SEN Teaching Assistant - Join Our Supportive Team!

We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support and assist in small group settings, helping students reach their full potential
  • Deliver tailored interventions and support strategies, working closely with teachers and SENCOs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and confidence
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
  • Support students' academic and social development, building essential life skills
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs, facilitating understanding and progress
  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support, ensuring students feel safe and valued
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • Relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable but not essential)
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and willingness to undergo relevant training

Job Details

  • Job Types: Full-time, Monday to Friday, School Hours
  • Pay: £85.00 - £100.00 per day, experience dependent
  • Benefits: Referral programme
