The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst role sits within Sage’s financial accounting, reporting and control team.
The role is key to the production of Sage’s high quality and trusted financial reporting, covering both internal and external reporting, for senior internal and external audiences. In particular, the role will support the end-to-end delivery of our monthly, half-year and annual reporting requirements. The role will also support lead the relationship with Sage’s external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process. As a FTSE 100 business, the overall scope of the role is widespread with the successful candidate working with various stakeholders across the finance organisation, including Commercial Finance, Financial Operations, Tax, Treasury and Investor Relations.
As an individual, you will be detail focussed and agile with strong interpersonal skills. It is important that you are capable of analysing complex financial accounting and reporting issues with an eye for detail and an ability to identify and implement improvements to existing processes. Key Responsibilities Summary Of Role
As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and trusted financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. You'll support month-end, half-year, and annual reporting while managing relationships with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Working across a FTSE 100 business, you'll collaborate with teams including Commercial Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations.
What I Will Be Doing
You'll oversee the month-end group consolidation process, ensuring timely and insightful management accounts. You'll prepare group financial statements, benchmark against industry peers, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You'll also provide technical accounting guidance, conduct balance sheet reviews, and manage key relationships with external auditors to streamline reporting and audit processes.
What We Are Looking For
We need a detail-focused and agile chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 1-3 years of post-qualification experience. You should have strong IFRS knowledge, experience in multi-currency organizations (preferably with an audit background), and excellent communication skills. You must be able to manage tight deadlines, multiple stakeholders, and complex financial reporting issues with precision. Experience with Excel, Power Platform, and listed company financial statements is a plus.
