About the role:
As a Senior Asset Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of research and modelling for individual industrial assets – think mines, smelters, refineries, and other key production sites. Your work will drive our high-quality datasets covering costs, emissions, and valuations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary and secondary research into mine, refinery and primary metal production asset technical, operational, capital expenditure and ownership parameters
- Efficient creation of asset data that meets required quality and data governance standards
- Creation of data-driven insight into asset costs, emissions and valuations
- Direct customer engagement to understand their use cases and draw meaning from CRU asset data to meet them
- Understand potential customer use cases and demonstrate the value of CRU’s asset data in those (e.g. in demonstrating CRU’s asset services)
- Support content marketing and other work (e.g. social media profile) to grow CRU’s premium reputation for asset data quality and insight
Qualifications:
- Strong academic background (2:1 or above, ideally in engineering or a numerical discipline)
Skills & Experience:
- Solid understanding of mining, refining, and industrial processes – especially in the aluminium value chain (bauxite, alumina, smelting, casting)
- Experience in asset valuation, cost and emissions analysis
- Proven ability to manage and analyse large, complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills – confident presenting insights and engaging with clients
- Comfortable working in a matrixed, international team
- Demonstrated understanding of data quality and governance
