Senior Associate, OPS Business Technology Liaison

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, OPS Business Technology Liaison to join our Sanction team. This role is located in Manchester, hybrid working.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Support the compliance and regulatory requirements of BNY by performing critical functions related to OFAC blocking and reporting, managing OFAC blocked embargo accounts, and daily reconciliations of Asset Servicing OFAC blocked cash & security accounts.
- OFAC Blocking and Reporting: Review and accurately document blocked and rejected transactions to prepare and submit reporting to OFAC
- Review and confirm Line of Business reports of Sanction blocked accounts and submit to OFAC
- Prepare and submit reports through internal BNY systems and OFAC Reporting System for blocked, unblocked, transferred, and rejected sanctioned assets
- Account Management: Manage OFAC blocked embargo accounts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; Prepare documentation for legal subpoenas on blocked assets and transactions
- Reconciliation and Compliance: Daily monitoring of Sanctions blocked assets
- Reconciliation of accounts within mainframe applications
- Process Improvement: Identification, initiation and delivery of process improvement opportunities incl. timely & transparent status reporting to leadership
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 4-7 years of prior work experience in the finance industry
- Experience reading SWIFT messages is preferred
- Experience in International Money Management System (IMMS) and Global Securities Process (GSP) is preferred
- Ability to self-manage workload and goals independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven organization
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
