Our BIM Technicians specialise in highly regulated and complex project delivery, delivery the most intricate construction projects across the UK and Europe. As the demand to deliver exception projects continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior BIM Technician to join our dynamic Mechanical Building Services team
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the development and coordination of mechanical systems in complex construction projects, using advanced BIM tools and workflows.
About You
As a Senior Technician – Mechanical Services, you are expected to have a strong track record in one or, preferably, multiple sectors that BakerHicks operates in. You will be experienced in generating high quality, accurate and detailed design packages.
You’ll understand the latest industry standard software and information management techniques to work as part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineers and Technicians, delivering high quality output on projects.
Key Purpose
- To be responsible for delivery of discrete packages of work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
- Contribute to the development and mentoring of our Early Careers population and the continuous improvement of departmental capabilities
- On occasion, manage Mechanical Services CAD involvement in small to medium-size projects, including time, cost, quality and delivery.
- To provide appropriate levels of Mechanical Services design support to a range of different projects.
What You Will Do
- Be responsible for the production of fully co-ordinated discipline specific 3D models, schematic, general arrangement and detailed drawings in accordance with the relevant standards and procedures
- Ensure quality of delivery when producing or updating CAD drawings to internal and/or customer standards.
- Work closely with
- Production of model outputs, such as schedules, room data sheets etc.
- Preparation of COBie and asset information.
- Assist and supervise non-CAD staff in the use of 2D and 3D design software.
- Contribute to the discipline specific 2D and 3D content libraries.
