The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our highly dynamic and driven company. This role is an exciting opportunity, working within a successful team responsible for our growing our B2B channel across new innovative propositions that we are bringing to market.
You will be responsible for helping to make clear and sound recommendations on how the team can deliver sales and growth opportunities and ensure we develop strong strategic partnership with our customers. The role requires building and developing key relationships both internally and externally, as well as having the ability to understand and communicate sophisticated product technologies and specifications, to help the team make informed commercial decisions and drive existing and new business opportunities.
You will work closely with our marketing and engineering teams as well as selected third-party partners - ensuring that commercial targets for order volumes and profitability are met and that customer satisfaction with Chameleon remains very high.
This role will include regular UK and occasional international travel.
What You Will Be Working On
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities including new markets, trends, and customers across our innovative energy management portfolio. This role will support the end to end management of new customers from lead management to first sales order.
You will also be expected to develop plans for business and revenue growth across your existing customers - supporting their existing needs and identifying opportunities for further growth. Owning and measuring forecast per channel versus performance.
What are we looking for
The successful candidate will be a sales leader with a demonstrable track-record in being able to build and manage important commercial relationships and you are always looking to create mutual-value outcomes. Chameleon is forecasting a sustained period of growth and you will also be expected to build and grow our commercial capabilities both within and beyond the UK. Ideally you will have experience of supporting a similar business on a growth journey from start-up to £20M revenue.
You will possess superb stakeholder management skills and are comfortable working with a wide range of internal and external teams to create the right results. An excellent communicator, you will also have the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships at all levels both internally and externally to the company, which will be key to success within this role.
You will operate in a hands-on and delivery focused way to help Chameleon grow. Whilst Chameleon has been at the heart of the in-house display market for 14 years, the company now requires a revitalized go-to-market approach.
You will be collaborative and comfortable working with subject matter experts, such as legal, compliance and technical teams, and be able to shape commercial propositions which satisfy the needs and requirements across the business.
Experience within energy or technology markets would be an advantage but not essential. You should be passionate about creating a better world for the future and the excited to play a part on the journey to Net-Zero.
