Role And Responsibilities
About the position
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to be the face of Samsung to some of our most important partners. The position will be multifaceted and fluid in nature and will be responsible for acquiring and growing strategic publisher relationships, as well as sourcing and closing complex partnerships with key data providers and data infrastructure partners.
This role will report into the ESBO Ads Business Development Lead and will work both internally, and with new partners on critical projects to drive Samsung’s Ads business forward. This position will require global relationship analysis and management, ownership of key business projects, deal negotiation and contracting, global process management, and leadership of key operational work streams.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify and own deal negotiations with strategic 3rd party data and measurement providers, across various markets, from start-to-finish, including the drafting and negotiation of legal agreements
- Drive pipeline development of data providers in all key European markets as well as develop partnership frameworks, inform complex legal and financial structuring issues, and handle ongoing partner management.
- Own the end-to-end account management of existing partners, ensuring consistent performance tracking, proactive optimisation, and long-term strategic alignment
- Lead quarterly partner reviews and joint business planning sessions to ensure partner satisfaction, revenue growth, and strategic alignment
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across business development, product, product marketing, legal, operations, sales, and other areas of the organization (including Korea HQ) to develop and execute business strategy.
- Foster positive relationships with internal legal and privacy teams to establish successful deal frameworks that allow you to manage and complete contractual processes in a timely manner. Stay abreast of regulatory developments (e.g. GDPR, ePrivacy) and ensure all partner engagements align with data protection frameworks.
- Identify key issues and blockers in the deal pathway – technical, legal, commercial and behavioral, and think creatively and practically to help resolve them
- Work closely with the regional and global Ads Product Leads and Product Marketing teams to devise successful go-to-market plans for major ad product launches in Europe in 2023 and beyond.
- Build and maintain senior relationships at leading and emerging ad tech companies across CTV, mobile
- Identify, build, and implement new growth opportunities through creative partnership deals to improve client solutions. Evaluate and implement innovative partnership monetisation strategies, aligning commercial models with evolving advertiser demand and data privacy expectations.
- Drive thought leadership on the evolving market and advocate across the organization on behalf of partners and opportunities.
- Drive market feedback to influence platform road map and business execution
- Manage internal budget allocated for partner acquisition (e.g.: data sourcing) , ensuring efficient spend, accurate forecasting, and alignment with strategic priorities.
What We Need For This Role
