The position of Senior Buyer can be at our office in Bristol or Newcastle.

As Senior Buyer, you’ll play a key role in shaping procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and leading strategic purchasing decisions that will influence the business for years to come.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement procurement best practices to support company growth.
• Identify and establish supply strategies for key business categories.
• Lead procurement processes, including tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.
• Support the implementation of a new procurement system.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and coach an Assistant Buyer with a view to growing the team further.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (CIPS certification preferred).
• Proven experience in strategic procurement within complex industries (automotive, industrial, supply chain, etc.).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of securing optimal commercial outcomes.
• Experience implementing ERP systems or procurement software is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and procurement tools.
• Proven mentoring and coaching skills
