As we continue our mission to make people and nature happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a Senior Campaign Marketing Executive – Trade and Seasonal to join our Marketing team on a permanent basis.


Salary paying up to £35,000 per annum.


Are you a creative marketing pro with a passion for seasonal storytelling and commercial impact? We're looking for a Senior Campaign Marketing Executive – Trade and Seasonal to lead on key seasonal campaigns across Hotel Chocolat, working across our diverse network of partners, including top retailers like John Lewis. From crafting compelling Christmas and Easter campaigns to supporting our wholesale marketing strategy, this role offers variety, ownership, and the chance to bring our brand to life across every customer touchpoint. You'll work across visual merchandising, digital, campaign planning, and collaborate closely with our brilliant in-house and agency creatives – all while gaining invaluable commercial and cross-channel experience.


Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted a hybrid working pattern where appropriate. For this role it means working 3 days a week on site, with the other 2 days spent working remotely, from home or wherever you like! The on-site location for this role is our Head Office ‘Mint House’ in Royston, Hertfordshire, our home since 1994; just off the A505, ten minutes’ walk from Royston Train station and commutable from London Kings Cross.


Ad-hoc travel 1-2 times a month will also be required visiting our wholesale partners.

What You’ll Be Doing….


  • Develop annual wholesale partner and trade marketing plans in partnership with internal and external Account Managers, working closely with the Campaigns Marketing Manager to ensure activity ladders up to our overall marketing and campaigns calendar and contributes to delivering commercial targets.
  • Manage and execute the Wholesale/Trade Marketing budget, aligning with Commercial Account Managers
  • Develop promotional plans with partner Marketing teams, activations, sampling campaigns and placement in partners’ media channels or digital marketing campaigns – including the likes of Amazon PPC.
  • Create and drive a dedicated wholesale marketing plan for our key product categories: Chocolate, Alcohol and Velvetiser, ensuring plans deliver product storytelling.
  • Own and update a wholesale marketing activity plan with a bespoke campaign calendar for strategic wholesale partners, working closely with HC Commercial Account Managers and partner marketing teams, that aligns to, and compliments the overall marketing and campaign calendar.
  • Develop best-in-class brand and product sell-in and sell-out materials to support our wholesale account team drive an excellent B2B and B2C experience including trade shows.
  • Brief in and produce all marketing assets and bespoke POS for our partners.
  • Drive the development of wholesale asset requirements throughout the HC campaign and core asset development process.
  • Be a brand guardian for all partner activity, ensuring all assets are on-brand and executed to an excellent standard.
  • Develop and execute planograms working with the VM team for JLP and Dobbies, including regular visits to ensure compliant execution in stores.
  • Collaborate with the Wholesale Commercial team to contribute to monthly reports, ensuring marketing KPIs are clear to stakeholders and actions/recommendations are delivered to improve performance.
  • Brief and deliver seasonal campaigns and manage through to delivery. Take inputs for your key stakeholder to ensure that we are meeting their requirements and work with the channel teams to build in requirements and channel learnings.
  • Work with our internal design agency to develop the creative concept and take through to delivery of a campaign toolkit for channels and markets to implement.
  • Act as the campaign owner to ensure that the campaign is executed effectively and run post campaign reviews to capture learnings. Manage the budget associated with the campaign.

  • Proven ability to build and drive a marketing plan that aligns to wider business objectives
  • Demonstrative ability to confidently manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience developing and maintaining multi-channel marketing calendars


Desirable

  • Self-starter, comfortable working within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • A flexible approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple projects and teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Digital Marketing experience
