LONDON

Our London office is located within WeWork, Spitalfields, a unique coworking space in the heart of East London's tech hub. With an open-plan space, ideal for collaborative working and networking, this is home to a broad range of teams including Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Legal and People teams. We have on-site cafe, rooftop terrace/bar, weekly wellness and cultural events, as well as fully stocked kitchens within the building.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the company’s strategic and financial objectives by assisting in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You will collaborate with various departments, especially sales, marketing, and operations, to provide the financial insights needed to drive profitability and improve efficiency across the business.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in finance, ideally with a CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. You will play a key role in assisting with financial models, performance analysis, and forecasts, helping the business scale while ensuring financial targets are met.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Produce variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance.
• Business Partnering: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to provide financial insights that inform decision-making.
• Work with department heads to assess the financial impact of commercial & investment decisions.
• Revenue & Margin Analysis: Assist in revenue analysis, focusing on customer lifetime value, pricing structures, and churn metrics.
• Help monitor gross margins and profitability, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and drive revenue growth.
• KPI Reporting & Dashboard Management: Assist in developing and managing financial and operational KPIs across the business.
• Help maintain dashboards and financial reports for senior management, ensuring visibility into critical performance metrics.
• Track and report on cash flow, providing insights into cash management and working capital needs.
• Scenario Analysis & Decision Support: Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for various business decisions.
• Process Improvement & Systems:
• Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems to enhance data accuracy, reduce manual intervention, and support scalability.
• Implement and manage financial software and tools to support real-time analysis and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE

• A Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW) or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering role.
• Experience within a SaaS, B2B, or high-growth startup environment is highly desirable.
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
• Experience assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
• Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across functions.
• Strong knowledge of revenue models, unit economics, and profitability analysis in a SaaS or subscription-based business is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and the ability to interrogate data from broader business software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
