JSS Search are excited to partner a market leading FTSE Multisite brand based in Northamptonshire, after 4 consecutive years of double digit growth- we are looking for a Senior Commercial finance manager to join the team at an important time in their journey


This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking finance professional who thrives in a changing environment and is passionate about driving commercial performance. You will play a key role in supporting the business with strategic decision-making, optimizing profitability, and providing financial leadership to various business units. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, delivering actionable insights that help shape the future of the business.


You’ll be involved in:

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain, to develop and drive strategies that optimize financial performance. You’re ability to influence up to SLT level with be pivotal in the role and a proven background of partnering a breadth of senior cross- functional stakeholders is key
  • Financial Strategy and Analysis: Lead the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial planning in partnership with commercial teams. Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to senior management to influence key business decisions.
  • Commercial Decision Support: Provide detailed financial analysis to support pricing, profitability, and investment decisions. Deliver commercial and operational insights that will impact decision-making and drive value across the business.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior leadership, including variance analysis, trends, and actionable recommendations. Experience with analytical tools such as power BI to drive analytical efficiencies is highly desirable.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements in financial processes, working closely with business leaders to ensure financial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve financial reporting processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior finance team members. Build strong, collaborative relationships with business partners to enhance finance-business integration.
  • Drive Change: Be a key driver of progressive change within the finance function, helping to shape the future direction of financial practices within the business. Seek opportunities to innovate and adopt new technologies, systems, and processes to enhance performance.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years PQE
  • Experience partnering up to director level in a commercial finance role, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth FTSE 250 or similar large-scale organization.
  • Strong background in business partnering, financial modelling, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, interpreting financial data, and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, FMCG, manufacturing or Logistics sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify financial opportunities and risks and offer strategic solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
  • A progressive mindset, with a passion for innovation, efficiency, and driving change.
