About the Role

In this role, you will work within the following areas:


Legal Compliance

  • Supports preparation and submission of corporate filings with corporate registries and regulators in the UK, US, EU, and other relevant jurisdictions
  • Supports preparation and submission of US SEC filings
  • Supports preparation and submission of UK and EU ESG compliance obligations, as well as other statutorily mandated reporting obligations
  • Interprets and advises on various UK and EU regulations (e.g., corporate and ESG requirements)
  • Helps business teams operationalize legal and regulatory requirements
  • Supports know-your-client processes with banks and other counterparties
  • Supports review of press releases and other external communications


Corporate Governance

  • Supports provision of legal advice to the Deloitte Global Board and Executive
  • Advises on the powers, authorities, and responsibilities of Deloitte Global governance bodies
  • Assists with proposed amendments to foundational or governing documents
  • Assists with corporate governance documentation, including preparation of resolutions, review of minutes, etc.
  • Leads annual member meeting and annual budget and fee approval processes from a corporate governance standpoint
  • Acts as primary point of contact for governance matters relating to Deloitte Global subsidiaries


General Legal Matters

  • Provide general legal support for transactions and other corporate-related matters as needed
  • Work closely with Deloitte Global and member firm business and legal leaders around the world


Qualifications

  • An LLB (or equivalent law position degree) from a highly regarded law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a practicing attorney, ideally with in-house counsel experience in corporate compliance and corporate governance
  • Experience supporting the preparation and submission of corporate filings with corporate registries and regulators in the UK and other jurisdictions
  • Experience supporting the preparation and submission of ESG filings in the UK and EU
  • Licensed to practice law in home jurisdiction
