Job Description
What you'll be doing...
Working as a member of the Model Booking team you will be securing top talent worldwide, owning the coordination of international bookings and maximising our position with model agencies by maintaining our high ASOS standards and reputation.
- Reporting directly into the Model Manager, you will be responsible for responding to model briefs for creative shoots for ASOS and ASOS partner brands.
- Working closely with the Head of Models & Talent and Model Manager, you will focus on sourcing aspirational, top tier ASOS models for required marketing, elevated and social briefs. You will also support with elevating pools for ecomm ensuring one clear model vision for ASOS.
- Securing talent as required by working with worldwide agencies to ensure the most successful models are readily available to us across multiple platforms.
- Be an experienced negotiator with advanced industry knowledge of rates and usages.
- A proactive problem solver, passionate about models, with the capability to also thrive as a leader in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills; including but not limited to arranging model travel logistics, project budgets, castings, and fittings. Demonstrating attention to detail end-to-end.
- The ability to be agile and adaptable with casting and bookings as projects develop and evolve.
- Build relationships and understanding of changing business priorities with the ability to communicate well with business stakeholders at all levels.
- Developing your leadership style and communication in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
- Taking ownership of models, you have booked, working alongside the shoot teams to maximize each model potential and ensure consistency.
- Dealing with any model issues professionally and in line with ASOS behaviours policy
- Nurturing existing relationships with international model agencies as well as establishing new ones when required, ensuring our first-class reputation is maintained and that all suppliers operate in-line with our standards.
- Work with agencies and the wider shoot team to ensure first class model welfare across a diverse and inclusive model pool. Be the go-to contact on location days ensuring the models are well supported.
- In depth understanding of the model team budget and rate structures.
- Working closely with your Seniors, Leads and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional, and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team.
- Working with the model team and wider to dept to ensure budget, cost per product, creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered too.
- Strong awareness of model analysis, making use of this information to make informed casting decisions.
- Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when required to ensure we are market leaders.
- Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave, and creative and to follow all company and departmental strategies, leading by example.
- Delivering projects to support the department strategy and any other ad-hoc tasks defined by the Model Team Lead and Manager.
- Contribute to departmental technology software and hardware launches when required.
- Contributing to team and departmental meetings.
- Be recognised as an aspirational figure within your team and the wider department.
Qualifications
We'd love to meet, someone with...
- Previous model booking experience with existing agency relationship.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring junior members within a team.
- A good understanding of shoot production in a commercial environment.
- A passion for models and knowledge of models.
- Outstanding negotiation skills and ability to work confidently with contracts, model usages and block bookings.
- A methodical, accurate and extremely organised approach with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and think on their feet.
- Assertive and forward thinking.
- A 'can do' attitude and high level of efficiency.
- An 'unflappable' nature who is excellent at delivering and giving feedback.
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm, and a real team player.
- Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, In Design and in the general day to day running of a PC and/or MAC.
