We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. Please note this role is Milton Keynes/Hybrid based so you must live within a commutable distance of the Milton Keynes/ office
.
In this role, the Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be required to design, develop and maintain embedded software functionality for our traffic signs and controllers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, document and maintain software using C, C++, JavaScript, etc
- Support products running on Linux and/or Keil RTOS
- Participate in agile activities – daily standups, sprint meetings, peer reviews, code sharing, etc.
- Follow customer requirements specifications to create functional requirements for software development
- Follow company and project quality standards
- Adhere to and develop security standards for our software and systems
- Consider and introduce methods and tools to improve software quality and delivery performance
- Extensive experience with C, C++ and/or JavaScript
- Knowledge of embedded systems and associated constraints
- Ability to understand customer, functional and technical specifications
- Good organisational skills
- Capability to work on your own and with peers
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- 2:1 or better Degree (BSc) in Computer Science or or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years embedded software development experience, or 8 years of any software development with a minimum of 1 recent year of embedded experience
- Working knowledge of Git code management and workflow processes
