We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Group Finance team here at Domestic & General.
The role will business partner with the Technology, Product & Transformation leadership teams to influence and control the achievement of budget targets & business case targets. This is achieved by articulating implications of strategic decisions on cash & profit, signing off on recruitment and 3rd party spend.
This role also provides critical financial reporting to Executive Program Steering Committees for key transformational programs and gives recommendations, feedback and regular tracking of actions to achieve budgets through regular Risk & Opportunity reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the budget process for £37m of annual Capex spend Globally. This encompasses 450 FTE.
- Business Partner with our Tech elite leadership team and provide quality financial analysis and recommendations to drive decision making.
- Business Partner Program Directors to deliver Executive Steer Co Reporting.
- Delivery of IT Finance month end process and follow up commentary and reporting.
- Reviews with budget holders to discuss performance and take corrective actions.
- Responsible for budget guidance in design authority governance process and procurement contracting.
Skills And Experience Required
- A finalist/qualified accountant.
- Previous experience in a FP&A &/or Business Partnering role.
- Experience managing capital investments, cost management & budgeting for FTE and 3rd party spend types.
- Able to build & own complex multi-year financial models which incorporate the matrix structure of capital reporting.
- Own the month end process capitalisation process and the output of commentary
- Strong accounting controls to deliver quality insights up to Executive level stakeholders
- Experience & ability to challenge & influence executive stakeholders on key decisions using insightful data and analysis
- Previous knowledge of IT Finance would be highly beneficial in this role but not essential
