Job Description
At NEXT we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Coordinator to join our Marketing Finance team. The role is based at our brand new offices in Alfred Place, W1 London. This is a business-partnering role with focus on the company’s fashion photography and PR functions.
The Finance team supports these creative operations with accurate budgeting, forecasting and by arranging payments to our artist crews. You’ll be joining a team of five Management Accountants in a highly supportive working environment. The role is offered on a full-time basis with the option to work from home a few days per week. This role would suit a part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant who is looking for a first step into a junior management position.
About the role:
You will collaborate with employees & 3rd Parties, to help run the financial operations of the department, communicate cost performance with management and take part in planning the financial needs of the company’s creative operations. You should be comfortable with multitasking and working in an ever changing business environment. You must be able to manage ambiguity and be comfortable reacting to client demands that can arise at short notice; matching the fashion markets that we serve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Tracking and reporting on spend for image creation.
- Presenting spend performance to our Senior Management Team.
- Conducting 'Value for Money' analysis and providing ad-hoc project support.
- Handling Business Affairs (Insurance, Tax, and Finance Transformation).
- Approving supplier onboarding applications and invoice payments.
- Managing a team of 3 direct reports.
- Liaising with a range of internal clients and brand partners to plan the financial aspects of creative projects.
About you:
- You're a results-focused individual with a keen eye for detail and a knack for numbers.Direct experience with forecasting, budgeting, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong analytical ability to navigate diverse business data.
- Excellent communication skills and high numeracy.
- People management experience (even if modest).
- Presentation skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working (and sometimes leading) across virtual teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
