Job Description
We are recruiting to a permanent position as a Senior Housing Advisor within our busy Housing Advice team.
You will work closely with 2 other Senior Housing Advisors managing a team of Housing Advisors and Homeless Prevention Officers.
We are looking for an experienced and pro-active housing professional from a housing options and advice setting, with a detailed knowledge of homelessness legislation, landlord and tenant law and current guidance on choice-based lettings schemes.
In addition, they will have:
- Experience of line management, or an understandning of the general principles underpinning effect staff management
- The ability to make clear and consistent decisions and give direction on complex cases and issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound organisational skills
- The ability to forge positive relationships with internal and expertanl stakeholders
- A proven track record as an effective team player
- An understanding of good cusmter service in a housing context with the potential to motivate others to deliver it.
Enhanced DBS check required for this post.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £40,476 - £45,718 per annum (City Pay Band 6)
Location: Central Cambridge/home working
