Position Summary:


The Real Assets Investment Group provides clients with investment management services across the full spectrum of public and private real assets investments, including real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources on both a discretionary and non-discretionary basis. Led by senior professionals with significant financial industry and real assets market experience, this global 15+ person team is responsible for evaluating real assets markets, identifying investment opportunities, and managing client portfolios. We advise our clients on making debt and equity investments into real assets via public and private investment vehicles, co-investments, and separate accounts. We also support the firm on broader research and developing firm-wide views on the sector.


The Senior Investment Director is an integral position within the Real Assets Investment Group. As part of a highly collaborative global investment team, this position will focus on five primary responsibilities: 1) identifying, evaluating, and monitoring high-quality private and public infrastructure investment managers, 2) researching and opining on infrastructure trends, 3) serving as a resource to portfolio management teams; 4) sourcing and executing co-investment and secondary transactions; and 5) supporting colleagues and clients on sector-related matters and opportunities. The role will have a primary orientation on Infrastructure, globally. This position is based in London.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead efforts to source, underwrite and recommend infrastructure investment opportunities, as well as infrastructure co-investments, suitable for our clients’ investment objectives. This entails leveraging existing industry relationships, building new relationships, and conducting thorough due diligence on infrastructure investment managers around the world as well as managing multiple projects with near-term deadlines simultaneously.
  • Develop house view and thought leadership on Infrastructure as well as identify and articulate relevant industry trends. Senior Investment Directors are responsible for staying abreast of market trends and authoring research on topics relevant to infrastructure markets and our clients’ interests.
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues seeking current information on infrastructure investment opportunities, including data and analysis, comparison to other fund managers, co-investments or secondaries, and the opinion of the investment team.
  • Work directly with clients that are actively building Infrastructure portfolios, including direct client implementation, supporting a variety of client needs across the firm, participating in business building activities, and attending and speaking at industry events


Qualifications:


  • A BA/BS required, MBA or CFA strongly preferred
  • Minimum ten years' infrastructure-related investment experience; transactional experience a plus.
  • Strong collaborator and work ethic.
