Senior Legal Counsel 8+PQE

I am pleased to partner exclusively with one of the leading global alternative investment firms to recruit a further senior lawyer into their Credit arm.

Their multi-investment strategies include private and public investment grade, high yield, infrastructure debt, sustainable resources, direct lending, CLOs and opportunistic credit.

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 8/9 PQE gained from a leading UK / US law firm and expertise in sponsor side leveraged finance. Time also spent in-house is highly desirable. It will suit a proactive, curious and creative thinker with excellent communication skills.

Joining this first-class transatlantic legal team, you will partner with the investment and business groups in structuring, negotiating, and facilitating new investments and related asset management considerations, primarily in the UK, EU and EMEA and work with the capital formation team on asset backed financing and liquidity facilities for their funds. Primary responsibilities include:

• Corporate projects related to the firm, including private and public transactions, operational matters, investor relations issues and new business initiatives.
• Assisting in the review of marketing materials and investor communications.
• Coordinating with the compliance team on transaction and investment funds-related compliance matters, including Adviser’s Act and Investment Company Act issues, AIFMD, UK and EU regulations, trade clearance, regulatory filings and designing and testing of compliance systems.
• Supporting various business groups, including investment, fund accounting, tax, marketing, operations etc.
• Coordinating with the fund formation team on new flagship fund launches.
