Eames are partnering with a well established institutional investment manager with over $750bn AUM as they seek to hire a Qualified Accountant on a long term contract (initial 12months) - the team are responsible for the oversight and reporting on Public & Private Market revenue streams, focusing on ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Core fundamentals of the team are around fee agreements, rebates, distributions fees, FUM & AUM analysis and reporting to internal & external stakeholders, the firm have a US parent, so you will be comfortable working in a controls environment and have awareness of SOX or similar frameworks
Key tasks include;
- Ensure accurate calculation of all fees (management, performance, other) due to group entities
- Ensure accurate calculation of all rebates and distribution charges to investors
- Review monthly revenue journals for group entities and cost centres (accrued income/sales invoices)
- Active involvement in monthly reporting and forecasting of revenue and related investor costs including full commentary and variance analysis as required by entities and group stakeholder
- Sensitivity analysis of management and performance on various factors for example markets, flows and fee rates
- Contribution to the annual budget process and five year plan for revenue streams and associated financials
- Prepare year-end accounting records for revenue-related balance sheet and profit and loss accounts and co-ordinate responses to audit queries

- Preparation of Group AUM and Flows report to support wider business needs and provide ad hoc reports to other areas of business including marketing, business development and compliance.
As a senior within the team, you will support the Manager on escalations from juniors, taking responsibility for more complex queries and developing the team's wider competencies
Experience Required
- Chartered Accountant with post qualified experience within Management Accounting (Revenue focus, or as a Revenue specialist within Financial Services)
- Experience of asset management industry with involvement or understanding of fees, commission and principles of revenue recognition from clients and third parties highly desirable
- Excellent grasp of general accounting fundamentals, journal management, accounts preparation and financial reporting as examples
- Experience of working as a senior in a group/multi-business environment with multiple cost centres and clients
